Fun for whole family submitted by jjdijkstra81 on May 26, 2012, 7:55pm Great for all ages. I'm early 30's and thoroughly enjoyed this movie with my ten year old step daughter and partner. I agree with the cover that it is the "Best animated film of the year!"

The whole tale just seemed a little silly to me, and the stories that were supposed to be sad weren't. There were of course a few funny parts, but if you want to see a movie with the character Puss in Boots, watch a Shrek movie with him in it.

Does what it's meant to do submitted by FordAlpha on July 18, 2023, 9:08pm which is to entertain and amuse kids and their parents. It's not great cinema, but it's fun, and it has its clever moments. My kids loved it, and I wasn't miserable (as I've been watching plenty of other animated kid fare). Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek are both great in their feline roles. Zach Galifianakis -- and his character, Humpty Dumpty -- are annoying as heck, and their redemption arc isn't very believable, but so what.
