Orchestral Jock Jams! submitted by Meginator on June 12, 2021, 9:49am My wife described this album as “original Jock Jams” and that’s both an accurate assessment and the best pitch I could give for it here. The tracklist has a good balance of crowd-pleasers like the Olympic Fanfare and Entry of the Gladiators (and possibly Pomp & Circumstance, depending on whether you had to play a percussion part for a high school graduating class of over 500) and lesser-known works that have the same high energy feeling throughout. This was a fantastic choice for some late afternoon work-from-home motivation and it’s a great place to start if you’re just starting to listen to orchestral music, as the pieces are very accessible.
