EDM's Increased Influence submitted by Meginator on July 28, 2019, 1:02pm I’ve had really good luck with the Now That’s What I Call Music albums I’ve listened to lately, and this one is no exception. EDM’s increasing influence on the pop charts is on full display here, with Icona Pop and Imagine Dragons representing its interplay with traditional pop and alt-rock, respectively, and Zedd offering a full-on EDM track. I immediately recognized most of these tracks and still enjoy most of them, and, unusually, the producers even struck on a bona-fide hit in the extras this time (MKTO’s one-hit wonder “Classic”). 2013 was a good time for pop radio, it seems.
