Good Country/Bluegrass Hybrid submitted by Meginator on June 22, 2020, 11:21am This tribute album does a good job of capturing the elements of Bill Monroe’s songwriting that feel timeless while allowing each artist to interpret the source material through their own unique musical lens. Most of the tracks lean towards traditional country, with liberal bits of bluegrass sprinkled in; this gives the album a more modern feel to it without stripping the songs of their history and offers a different perspective on Monroe’s lasting influence on American roots genres.
