But when she learns she only has a few weeks left to live, Georgia gathers her money, quits her job, and flies to the swank European resort she's always dreamed of visiting. Naturally, her new carelessness with money and fearless candor lead everyone around her, including a senator and her former boss, to think she's a real mover and shaker.

Uplifting and funny submitted by aschling on November 8, 2008, 9:48am This movie is entertaining, uplifting and funny. "The Last Holiday" will make you think about life and choices and put you in a good mood! Queen Latifah is perfect as Georgia and L.L. Cool J is perfect as her co-star.

Fun submitted by andreahubert on June 27, 2012, 9:10pm I love this movie. Georgia is a woman who has lived carefully all her life while dreaming big. She gets some news that causes her to throw caution to the wind and really live it up.

Puts you in a good mood submitted by klickitat on July 11, 2012, 10:12pm A perfect feel good movie to watch after a long day. Queen Latifah is charming in her "every woman" role.

Queen Latifa rocks submitted by mandevil on March 23, 2022, 12:50am Good performances and a charming story

Phenomenal Lead Performance, Meh Script submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 5:46pm Watching this film is a particularly interesting experience; the writing is uninspired and the plot cycles between running on autopilot and spinning its wheels, but Queen Latifah puts in an incredible performance as a woman whose unexpected terminal diagnosis prompts her to stop putting off her desire to live her best life. The film has its moments, particularly when Queen Latifah’s character interacts with the service staff at the hotel and convinces observers to live better simply by being herself, but a misplaced subplot with an antagonist falls absolutely flat and introduces the kind of cheesy self-important moralizing the film could have avoided if it had concentrated instead more on the main character herself. All told, this film is fine as a distraction and it certainly does have a good heart, but the writing gets in its own way too often and cheapens a truly excellent and heartfelt turn from the lead actress.
