COMMUNITY REVIEWS

only OK submitted by LVDS on August 18, 2017, 8:44am French film. Two teens with a child...the mom is (sort of) responsible, the dad is homeless,a crook and manipulator. He steals for money, so the baby is just another commodity.

Dardennes Social Realism submitted by jibkidder on June 28, 2022, 10:22pm Dardennes fiction films can be a real relief if you're tired of the emotional manipulation of popular American films. I feel like material like this one might be more enjoyable in the hands of the Safdies, who might toy with stress in creating the arc of the film in a different way, and inject more humor and toy with it's mood through music. For me, this film does not succeed as much as, for example, The Kid With a Bike.
