Classic. submitted by irenzero on June 28, 2013, 10:11pm In the post British Invasion era good little American boys (mostly the boys, a few girls got in the actions as well) picked up instruments and started banging away in garages and basement around the country trying to be the Beatles or the Stones... maybe the Kinks or at least... the Troggs... some floundered and some soared. The Nuggets comp started out as away to capture thee best of these flash in the pan moments in Rock and Roll. From NYC to LA and places inbetween... Chicago, Austin, MSP... and even Ann Arbor (the Rationals who are featured with their cover of the Kinks 'I Need You') kids were kicking out the jams and making a noise to let the world know they were alive... simply if you can't find one or a half dozen tunes on this comp to love.. you don't love rock and roll...

A Treasure for sure submitted by kencza on August 7, 2017, 8:05am This comp defines a time in musical history for a generation or two.
Yes, there are missing Nuggets and there are ones here that I don't
necessarily need to be reminded of, but these are the sounds of my youth.Heard these so many times I can anticipate guitar licks,
lyrics, harmonies, and chord changes.
