Enjoyable submitted by markwells on January 21, 2012, 9:56pm Owen Wilson plays the role Woody Allen would have played in his prime. As a writer/director, by all appearances, Woody is still in his prime. A-.

Blast from the Past submitted by pkooger on February 28, 2012, 3:27pm I really enjoyed Midnight in Paris! Sometimes Woody Allen is a little too preachy for me, but this was a fun romp through Paris, past and present. A few licenses were taken with the realism of the characters, but do you really expect anything else from a movie about time-traveling artistes? The main character's fiancee and future in-laws are a nightmarish caricature of American snobs, the way only Woody Allen could show them. I wanted to throttle every one of them, and was a little disappointed when Gil didn't do exactly that. That's my only beef with this film. :-) Charming movie!

Gotta Love It submitted by DBJC on July 3, 2012, 2:31pm I love this movie. The first thing that got me interested was the scenes of Paris right in the beginning. They were beautiful, authentic shots. Next, was the fact that the main character was a writer. Usually I wouldn't expect writers as a main character and I think that having that as an occupation was unique. The names of the characters were unique too; names that you wouldn't find in mainstream movies. As a student of the Humanities, I really found the connection to Humanities very enjoyable. I got a real good kick out of it because of all the people I knew and learned about over the years. I recommend this movie to any Humanities student (you will love it) and anyone who ever dreams about going to Paris. The last thing that I really liked about the movie was the plot. I haven't seen many Woody Allen movies but I've seen a lot of movies in general and I think that the plot was interesting and unique. Watch it!

f submitted by ftan on July 16, 2012, 12:19pm Owen Wilson does a nice job in this movie. It is directed by Woody Allen. However, he did not make an appearance at any of the award ceremonies.

much better than I expected submitted by ssmyth on June 26, 2013, 8:38am I usually don't care for Woody Allen movies, but have found myself watching this a few different times. Loved Hemingway! So good!

midnight in paris submitted by a2sue on July 25, 2013, 10:46pm this is a nice premise for owen wilson's character

Awesome submitted by jduffy12 on June 28, 2017, 9:02pm I'm jealous of the main character. It would be cool to travel back in time to meet famous people.

As Woody goes, it's a little dull. But entertaining. submitted by lisa on July 23, 2018, 11:11am Keeps you with it. Not my fave Woody tho, by a long shot. Maybe if I were still a stoner.

Good submitted by anacoluthon on August 21, 2018, 3:13am I loved Adrien Brody as Salvador Dali and Tom Hiddleston as F. Scott Fitzgerald

Pretty decent submitted by c_zhang on June 28, 2019, 5:06pm It was a fun premise, and watching it was enjoyable.

Midnight in Paris submitted by lstorc on July 3, 2019, 8:31am Midnight in Paris has an interesting premise, and the acting is good. The pacing and direction are too obscure to hold it all together.

Place Setting submitted by Clown81 on July 26, 2019, 9:29pm I love where it took place. I want to go to Paris one of these days.

Entertaining submitted by kencza on August 8, 2019, 9:27pm This is not a great movie but it is a very good one. It is wonderful fantasy full of humor, an interesting premise, and good acting. This is Owen Wilson's best performance and the passion his character has for Paris and the Arts is contagious. The idea of being amongst some of most creative people ever, all in one place, made this a magical movie.
