Wonderful! submitted by Zekicmom on August 14, 2013, 7:03pm This is a great movie. A group of overweight Israelis decide to embrace their size instead of fight it, and learn Sumo wrestling. A good balance of comedy and thought provoking drama, as well as little window into Israeli society.

I Loved It! submitted by Pooh3238 on June 26, 2018, 10:39am It was such an engaging movie. Great comedy/drama. You really felt for the characters. Showed a little of Israeli society, and a fun intro to sumo wrestling.

A Matter of Size submitted by leighsprauer on July 27, 2022, 9:15pm A group of overweight men, and one female friend, rebel against their fat-shaming community and, to different degrees, embrace sumo training under the guidance of local Japanese restauranteur.

This was billed as a comedy, and it did have some funny moments, but was fairly disappointing overall. The acting was good, the characters were decent, and I suppose it had a good message – that of embracing your body and life even when it doesn’t fit society’s view of what is acceptable – and, as I said, it had a few funny moments, but none of these were enough to make me really enjoy it.
