What results is a saga of epic proportions that plays out in real time over ninety minutes in one sweltering room. One of the most radical big-screen courtroom dramas in cinema history.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Powerful Personalities can and must change their minds! submitted by ekjensen on August 18, 2015, 2:16pm (Original review 2015) This courtroom drama that only takes place in the jury room is timeless and features a tremendous cast of 12 characters/actors who debate the nuances of a case for which a guilty verdict is a death sentence because of an initial lone juror's voice. A must see even nearly 60 years later. You can feel the sweat and intensity even today when you watch this great film classic. Post Script (2018): I just watched this movie again, it is timeless, and one of best casting and acting ensembles captured on film.

12 Angry Men submitted by SBNB on August 7, 2018, 8:00pm This is a classic, must-watch film about one man's effort to stop the jury from delivering a hasty verdict.

It is indeed a classic. submitted by lisa on July 29, 2019, 3:06pm Not a best-of-all-time, but a culturally significant film. A sort of courtroom shorthand has come down from it.

Of course these days very few cases go to trial. The justice system's even more of a mess that way.

Excellent Movie, Great for Teenagers submitted by MikkiMoscara on August 2, 2023, 3:20pm This movie takes place in one room with less than 15 actors, but it's still one of the best movies ever. It really shows how the U.S. judicial system should work, as well as encapsulates sociology through all of the different characters. I watched it in High School and showed it to my 17 year old daughter, who loved it as well.

A classic submitted by Mtadams on August 9, 2023, 9:12am A wonderful class that was amazing rewatch value.
