Adds Nuance to Familiar Songs submitted by Meginator on August 24, 2020, 9:12pm Alanis Morissette’s unique voice so effectively sets the unique mood for her songs, and the acoustic nature of an Unplugged performance highlights this aspect of her music. The song selection is excellent, including many of Morissette’s biggest hits reimagined for the more intimate musical arrangements and performance environment. Classics like “Ironic” and “You Oughta Know” are reinvented here and are just as powerful as their fully polished studio versions. This album is a testament to Alanis Morissette’s immense talent and it’s among the best and most transformative in the MTV Unplugged series.
