Annoying submitted by andreahubert on June 27, 2012, 9:37pm I started this movie and couldn't finish it because I disliked it so much.

Alright, Alright, Alright submitted by crazypockets on July 19, 2013, 6:34pm This is a great movie! It has an outstanding soundtrack for one thing. I didn't go to high school in the 70s, but there are still some very relatable bits. Who doesn't remember their first all-night party? I think this movie really captures that feeling of being in high school on summer break, nothing to do but drive around with your friends in a small town. And of course there's Matthew McConaughey in his best role of all time as the creepy older guy who still hangs around with teenagers.

Growing up is hard to do submitted by ccrose on August 16, 2019, 2:36pm After awhile, being stuck in dumb/dumber developmental stages isn’t funny anymore.

Smarter than most people give it credit for submitted by willg66 on June 18, 2022, 11:46am A movie that can be enjoyed on so many levels. It's reputation is as a fun party high-school stoner movie, which it is, in spades. But its also a very thoughtful meditation on growing up and being a teenager and dealing with your peers and adults. A lot of truth in this film. Richard Linklater is just one of my personal favorites.

Wish I liked this as much as other people submitted by brooksza on August 15, 2022, 11:17am This movie doesn't click for me like it does for most people. My Linklater click movie is the Before trilogy. I appreciate some of this, but the characters are such assholes (especially the amount of time we spend on the hazing), it just isn't enjoyable for me. But the last 20 minutes bump this at least half a star and I really like the end. Wish it had ended with Mitch though.
