COMMUNITY REVIEWS

oh, movie adaptations... submitted by manz on December 27, 2011, 12:56pm The book was better. Let me just say that to begin with. Let me also say that romantic comedies aren't really my bag, but I really enjoyed the book.

The movie had its moments, and the end had me crying. But the book allowed for so much more room to develop the characters, and the voice of the characters. There was a lot more self loathing for both Dex and Em in the book, that didn't come across very well in the movie. I normally find Anne Hathaway annoying, but she was a good Emma.

The movie was slow paced and dragged in the middle. I guess a book rich with detail and witty banter is going to be hard to adpapt?

A Bit of a Cliche Romance submitted by crazypockets on June 16, 2012, 3:13pm I think this movie had its moments, but it didn't blow me away. I liked the acting, and I thought there was a good amount of scenery shown. While I didn't exactly expect the ending, once it happened, I realized it was kind of cliche. I think maybe this would be good for people who are a lot more romantic than I am. It wasn't bad, just not spectacular.

Such a whirlwind! submitted by monipate on July 30, 2012, 9:09pm Great for a long plane ride, which is what I was stuck on when i watched this.

OK submitted by alumeng.ajl on August 1, 2012, 4:27pm I found it a bit confusing. The audience didn't know what had happened in the 364 days in between scenes, which I found a bit confusing.

Drama-- not romantic! submitted by rummella on July 21, 2013, 7:11pm Was grossly disappointed.... in the characters, the continuity, the ending... booooo

underrated submitted by mandevil on March 3, 2016, 12:04pm I really enjoyed the movie- good performances and i found the story of the romance interesting- is it a Hollywood blockbuster- no, just a interesting small film that portrayed realistic characters.

Disappointment submitted by kelleyc on July 14, 2016, 7:33am For a book that knocks your socks off, the movie just didn't deliver.
