Effective Style and Instrumentation submitted by krogers on July 18, 2019, 9:44am More of what we've come to expect from this band - clean, intelligent rap mixed with melodic vocals; diverse instrumentation by talented musicians; thoughtful lyrics, etc. And, though it's not particularly featured on the album as a whole, the talented lead guitar playing becomes more prominent after track 6, and serves the music rather than seeking its own glory.

Unique Blend submitted by Meginator on July 28, 2019, 12:41pm The style of this album closely tracks to that of its big single, “Come Original.” The band fuses elements of funk, hip-hop, and punk to create an (ahem) original soundscape that they carry off convincingly despite a few moments where the vocals don’t quite match up to the backing instrumentation. Given that late-1990s alt-rock is so easily defined by a few shared characteristics, I am surprised by how fresh this album still feels; it’s definitely different, and it has a nice unexpected hard edge to it given its major musical influences.
