Fantastic! submitted by richardsm on June 17, 2013, 10:44am Macklemore's profanity laced The Heist, is a great example of west coast rap. He has catchy anthems dedicated to thrift shops and gay rights, but he also dives into very personal issues like his relapse into alcoholism.

I touched the net! submitted by philiptv on June 17, 2013, 2:34pm I love these songs. My favorite is Wings. Great music.

Clever and funny and a little bit deep submitted by yugure on June 19, 2013, 4:44pm How can you not appreciate an artist whose album has a hilarious song about buying junk from a thrift shop, but also a serious pro-gay rights song, or a meditation on the adage that it takes ten thousand hours for a person to become a master of their craft? The hip-hop and rap I love best is the stuff that comes with a social conscience, and The Heist has that. And of course, the funny stuff too. "Can't Hold Us" is the perfect power song for a running playlist, by the way.

well submitted by unknown on July 30, 2013, 7:00pm there is a lot of swearing on this album
