Skip Beat! submitted by pandangel12 on June 21, 2011, 9:04am Its a humorous graphic novel on a girl (Kyoko Mogami) who follows her childhood friend Sho Fuwa to Tokyo to help him become a star in showbiz. But as soon as Sho becomes famous he ignores Kyoko so she decides to get revenge by beating him in showbiz! Its really a funny (and long) series.

Skip Beat! = Hilarious submitted by jayendra44106 on June 23, 2011, 12:03pm This is a hilarious graphic novel by Yoshiki Nakamura. Kyoko follows her chilhood friend Shotaro Fuwa (AKA Sho Fuwa to his fans) to Tokyo to help him become a star. Kyoko devotes her life to Sho, doing everything for him and nothing for herself. She dropped out of high school and ran away and worked all day so she could rent an expensive apartment. I hope I didn't spoil it :)
It's really awesome, and you should read it!

Love it! submitted by xoxobrenda on June 25, 2011, 7:53pm Skip Beat is different than other shojo manga in that the main character is tough, smart, and empowering!! Kyoko has this energy that'll satisfy your expectations; she's not one of those typical 'stupid' and annoying shojo girls. And the story is hilarious and touching all together. There's friendship and romance elements, too. Watch the anime as well! ^^

:) submitted by waffoo2 on August 7, 2013, 6:28pm I was kind of confused at some parts, but it gets better and better as you proceed! :)

Skip-Beat submitted by i'm a blobfish on June 25, 2019, 4:09pm Kyoko decides on a whim to become an actress and surpass her past love and boyfriend, Sho. But with no attachments to the job, can she really succeed in this hard unforgiving field?

Just okay to me submitted by dntanzer on August 23, 2020, 6:59pm Skip beat is worth checking out for the plot and interesting characters. Personally though I didn't love it as much as I wanted to and stopped reading after a few volumes
