A Veritable Hit Parade submitted by Meginator on July 28, 2019, 12:48pm What a fantastic Now That’s What I Call Music album! This one not only has a group of massive hits that are memorable across the board, but it also represents a consistent, increasingly electronic-infused style of pop music that really defines this era. Unlike some of the surrounding installments in the series, this compilation devotes a full quarter (only four in all, but still) of its tracks to rock and country, providing a richer representation of the radio during this part of 2012. Even the four “What’s Next” tracks are decent, though as usual this space would be better utilized by including more actual hits from the era. Still, this is an exceptional Now That’s What I Call Music album, or at the very least I can say that I really liked whatever was on the radio at that time.
