COMMUNITY REVIEWS
What a phony, steaming pile of excrement!!!!
submitted by Tassos on March 14, 2021, 1:40pm
It is very rare to find a decent, honest movie about Math or Science, and this one SURE is NOT one of them.
WHat a steaming pile of excrement!
THis is the kind of movies made by clueless non-mathematicians about mathematics. I bet they had some 'math advisor', but they overruled him or her every step of the way.
WHat a lame, pretentious so-called movie.
Look at the 'approximation" of pi mentioned here. I tried it, and it is a very poor approximation, the 238/748 pr whatever nonsense they spouted. You can get the same or better accuracy by just calculating 22/7 (YES!) a result quite close to pi, which was known by the Greeks 2,000-2,500 years ago.
Oh, and they made it in pretentious, colorless B&W to pretend this is a serious movie
And what did the dumb, math illiterate critics do? They were afraid of blundering, so they gave it the 'golden mediocrity" 3 stars.
I give it 2 thumbs down. It is a RIDICULOUS movie.
Platonic Number Love
submitted by tarascon on May 6, 2023, 11:48am
This film is the love child of Eraserhead and Kabbalah.
An interesting discursion on the nature of number, mysticism, and madness…
As Max says: It’s all in the syntax.
