Caroline Dhavern Alert! submitted by irenzero on June 27, 2011, 10:15am I really didn't know what I was in for when I put this DVD into the player. I knew there was some reason that I wanted to see it. THe story of 8 different lived who have all landed in the run down, low rent world of the title motel. Featuring an bravado performance by Anna Friel (Pushing Daises) and the utterly charming presence of Caroline Dhavernas (Wonderfalls), NIagara Motel is the kind of dark, quirky, sad film that I tend to like. There are some issues with the film, it's sometimes obvious where it it going, and the production values are on the low end, which actually fits the story well. It's tagged as a comedy, but I didn't laugh much. That said there are a couple of great moments, camera shots, and the performances.
