Peter Sadlo’s facility with these instruments is impressive and shines against the backdrop of the orchestra, his work by turns emotive and exciting as occasion dictates. His range matches that of his instruments, and these works are a delightful complement and contrast to the orchestral canon that so frequently ignores and understates the power of percussion.
