Ramona-esque narrator submitted by camelsamba on August 2, 2012, 1:28pm In this story, Ramona's father has lost his job so her mother has to go back to work. This change in routine inevitably causes conflict and stress, but the Quimby family manages to get through it in a realistic fashion.

For the book-on-CD: Stockard Channing reads the Ramona series in a sort of breathless way. This is charming in that you can imagine Ramona being just like this - rushing a bit headlong into the world. On the other hand, at times it approaches a hard-to-interpret jumble. These are not too frequent, but happened enough times that I noticed.
