War with Aliens. submitted by unknown on June 25, 2011, 2:27am A very straightforward military sf movie. If you like your war movie with aliens, then enjoy.

Good submitted by ColeenT on July 13, 2011, 5:47pm Okay movie

good submitted by pavman13 on July 14, 2011, 6:30pm Never gets old.

much better than I expected submitted by ssmyth on July 23, 2011, 10:08pm Great movie of one marine group's view of war with an enemy that happens to be aliens. I hadn't heard much about this movie, so I didn't expect much - but it was really well done. Lots better than some other recent alien movies (skyline, etc).

Cliched Goodness submitted by Meginator on August 4, 2011, 7:30pm Going into this movie, I wanted war with aliens and lots of explosions. That's precisely what I got, and I am 100% down with that. The endless cliches started to bug me a bit as I could very confidently predict most of the movie's plot advancements, but I think the effects and action were well enough done to merit a viewing or two. And though the hackneyed heart-warming Misunderstanding Set Right is, sadly, present in the film, its climactic moment actually induced a teeny tiny sniffle or two from me, so it's got that going for it. This is a movie that doesn't compromise, and I think it's a good one for its genre. Just don't expect too much beyond the war/action/sci-fi hybrid and it's a solid film.

Oddly enough.... submitted by jjdijkstra81 on July 2, 2013, 10:45pm ....I don't much care for any war/military movies, or apocalyptic or alien movies. This was all of the above, you I became intrigued from the beginning, and actually found myself enjoying it! Odd. I thought it was intense and well done.

Horrible submitted by amym on August 19, 2014, 12:40pm This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Bad acting, every cliche going, and some huge holes in the plot. Lots of explosions if that's your thing. Last time I let my husband drag me to a movie.

Entertaining but ... submitted by leenajong on August 18, 2015, 9:35pm I think an alien race capable of conquering worlds should have sent a scouting party to earth before sending the whole army in. Very improbable ending but as usual, humans win the day.

A nice revisit submitted by Duette on July 30, 2016, 6:08pm I'd seen this movie a little after it'd first been released. I hadn't remembered much about it but the film. It's great watch and much about military loyalty. In a few years it'd be worth researching again.
