COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Beautiful CD submitted by crazypockets on June 29, 2012, 11:04am I love this band, and I loved this CD. It's a great follow-up to the first album, "Lungs," and I enjoyed pretty much all of the songs. Some will be on my favorite playlists for sure!

ok submitted by ftan on July 17, 2012, 8:59am i don't like all of this band's songs because the lead singer uses autotune. i understand that most hip hop people do too, but with bands i enjoy listening to pure singing. their songs are decent. my favorite is shake it out.

Gorgeous and Haunting submitted by Kurogane Ichigo on March 13, 2013, 6:46pm These songs hit me where I'm at. They remind me of a portrait with the effect of the eyes following you around the room; no matter the place you find yourself, these songs speak to you. Give it a listen. What else can you say in a review but that?

Ceremonials submitted by ashflowtuff on July 26, 2018, 9:28am Really enjoy this album. Lots of songs that get under your skin and you want to keep listening to.

Simply Fantastic submitted by anacoluthon on August 24, 2018, 2:43am Florence Welch has such a unique sound, that conveys such yearning and heartbreak. This album is just as strong as the first, with big hits like "No Light, No Light" and "Shake It Out."

Florence submitted by mwschoe on August 15, 2022, 9:54pm Florence Welch has an amazing voice backed by a mix of strings and synths that really make this album a must listen.

Odd, But Also Really Good submitted by Meginator on June 21, 2023, 11:29pm This album is a little strange, both in its content and for the fact that it has a single standout track (“Shake It Out”) yet still feels fairly consistent in its (high) quality throughout. Stylistically, the music draws from a number of different sources along the rock and pop spectrums; each track feels like a surprise of sorts, although Florence Welch’s vocals provide a strong anchor across all of them. If you go into this album with an open mind and an appreciation for artists who push against (and occasionally through) the boundaries of pop, you’re likely to enjoy this.
