Fantastic Album submitted by jtmaxwell on July 16, 2011, 8:03am This is the album that you can put on on a hot summer evening, have a seat on the porch, and everything from the day falls away. DMB is a fantastic jam band - the songs fall into one another and weave all of the different instruments used into a solid sound.

Innovative, Moody, and Deep submitted by Meginator on August 1, 2019, 12:10am Dave Matthews is both a gifted musician and a phenomenal songwriter, and both of these talents are on full display throughout this spectacular album. Quite a bit darker than those from “Under the Table and Dreaming,” these tracks emphasize different musical influences and more intricate rhythmic and melodic interplay between members of the band (and also a few big-name collaborators- check the liner notes for some surprises), appealing less to pop/alt-rock radio (even the relatively experimental late-1990s version of it) and more to a jam band sensibility. Still, most of these songs feature catchy choruses and amazing lyrical depth that play well against the band’s enormous collective musical talent. Innovative, moody, and deep, this album is among the group’s best for its inventive spirit and its blend of the expected and something just a little bit different, all wrapped up in their trademark sound.
