Of Its Time, Yet Looks Ahead submitted by Meginator on June 14, 2023, 11:20am This album is particularly interesting to listen to today as it sounds very much of its time in the mid-70s yet also seems to be looking forward toward future developments in the places where pop and rock intersect. “O My Soul” is the most forceful, and most memorable, track, but the album has a good consistency about it among the other songs, and it grows on you over time as you listen to it. More influential than outstanding on its own, it’s still worth a spin for anyone interested in the development of power pop and listeners who enjoy hidden gems from the classic rock era that break the mold.
