More fun for the adult than the child? submitted by 21621031390949 on July 25, 2023, 1:50pm This is a children’s book, and as an adult, I love it! It’s a simplified retelling of the classic Canterbury tales, with lots of humor in words and illustrations. It’s fun for an adult to read; I’m dubious, however, that kids would like it. Maybe the youngest kids would enjoy the busy-ness of the pictures and sitting in a grown-up’s lap for the read-aloud, but most older kids would just be confused by the language, beyond the simple story-text.
