The Parent Trap submitted by SBNB on July 11, 2014, 1:03pm Good movie. If you enjoy this one, give the original version (1961) a try.

Almost as charming as the first submitted by beeniepie on August 26, 2014, 12:53pm This is a solid remake. The mother/daughter and father/daughter chemistry between Richardson/Lohan and Quaid/Lohan were believable and charming. It would have been the perfect remake if the chemistry between Richardson and Quaid were stronger. The movie was funny and entertaining, but the actors never made me believe they were each other's true loves.

Tween movie submitted by tshish on August 17, 2015, 10:30pm Good movie for tweens

Loved it! submitted by gem on August 10, 2019, 1:31pm This is a classic! Great fun and creative ideas for camp pranks.

A Timeless Classic submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2020, 6:49pm I absolutely adore this film, and I think it holds up fairly well except for a few outdated (and offensive) terms casually tossed in. Lindsay Lohan does exceptionally well for her age in portraying twin sisters with opposite personalities and Natasha Richardson and Dennis Quaid have effortless chemistry. The supporting characters are charming (even the over-the-top Meredith) and steal a few scenes for themselves without hurting the film. Sure, the storyline relies on a few unlikely coincidences, but despite the absurdity at the core of its premise the promise of a more permanent happy ending does feel surprisingly plausible. This film has so much charm to it and it ultimately becomes more than the sum of its already impressive) parts.

Fine remake submitted by elkwiatkowski on August 10, 2021, 7:59pm It's no Hailey Mills, and the the fact that they pulled their caper across international borders is silly, but otherwise, it's a fine film.

Parent Trap 1998 submitted by yufamily on June 13, 2022, 3:13pm Funny and cute! The more innocent days of Lindsay Lohan.

Excellent remake submitted by Bethybeth07 on August 4, 2022, 9:38am Great remake to a preposterous scenario. I'm sorry, who was their judge in the divorce hearing that decided the #1 way to handle a family splitting is to GIVE EACH PARENT A TWIN! That being said, in some bizarre world where that's the logical solution, this movie is cute. Except, again, the fact that these parents chose to not know one of their kids AT ALL.

Such a classic submitted by czadams on July 30, 2023, 11:43pm I loved this movie so much as a kid. I watched it on repeat. I was studying it. I was trying to figure out what I would do if I found my twin.
As an adopted it was quite a fun thing to imagine.

Cool submitted by lynnangmd on August 17, 2023, 10:58pm It was such a great movie and I liked it.
