The album starts off slow with a few slow-moving tracks, and the tempo picks up in the second half, giving the overall package an unusual (yet satisfying) musical structure. The Pistol Annies rotate the lead vocals, giving each song a unique feeling while keeping everything musically consistent. Lyrically, these songs put a humorous spin on stereotypical country subjects such as difficult families, romantic relationships, and hard times, all with an empowering undercurrent. Overall, this makes for a tremendously enjoyable package that has a little bit of everything, showcasing outstanding songwriting talent and seamless musical collaboration.
