Fascinating submitted by teri on August 21, 2020, 12:53pm Pair this documentary with Hezog's "Fitzcarraldo". Both films are captivating in a bizarre kind of way.
If you want more of the same, watch "My Best Friend". Another documentary, this one's made by Herzog - about the incredibly tumultuous relationship between Herzog and his often lead actor - Klaus Kinski.

Eats his shoe submitted by jibkidder on August 2, 2022, 7:43am "Burden of dreams" is a great documentary by a great documentarian, but I especially like "Wernor Herzog Eats His Shoe" which is included here. Herzog was a teacher to Errol Morris at the time, and promised to eat his shoe if Morris was able to make a good documentary about a pet semetary, which he more than accomplished with "Gates of Heaven". The lib also has other Les Blank docs, worth seeking out.
