A Little Too Chaotic submitted by Meginator on August 20, 2021, 7:50pm I can appreciate these musicians’ skill- they certainly hit enough notes, and some of them even make sense in sequence- but I just find it too difficult to find form or function in the music they’re creating here. Everything felt chaotic to me, with little noticeable variation from track to track save for occasionally moody piano accompaniments that eventually give way to the same gleeful atonal abandon. Without consistency of rhythm, scale, or mood within any given track, there’s little to hold on to and the going can be tough, outside of a few bright moments on the piano.
