COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Not Worth Watching submitted by Chris82 on July 31, 2011, 4:06pm This is a big budget remake of the 1960s classic. Unfortunately it wasn't nearly as good as the original and not really worth watching.

A World In Reverse submitted by Dragonessa on August 6, 2011, 11:02am This is Tim Burton's take on the Planet of the Apes. I actually really liked it, enjoying the look of the apes and their world in which they rule over the humans. It is very interesting to think about. While it isn't the best of Tim Burton's films, I think it certainly is one of his good ones. I really liked Helena Bonham Carter's character and thought she did a great job as the main female ape character.

Overdone submitted by beeniepie on August 11, 2013, 12:16pm I am usually a fan of Tim Burton's work, but this was a miserable failure. Plagued with too much production and over-acting. Mark Wahlberg's under-acting foiled against Tim Roth's intensity didn't pan out. Helena Bonham Carter was the only actor who seemed to fit into the film.

Planet of the Apes 2001 dvd submitted by a2sue on July 21, 2019, 6:14pm The dvd for the 2001 version of The Planet of the Apes was very different from the original film. I prefer the original, but I do like Tim Roth and Mark Wahlberg.
