An Achievement submitted by jibkidder on June 23, 2022, 7:53am To say nothing in particular about the "content" of this album, it was probably the most interesting production of the alternative rock era. I much prefer an album like The Breeders "Last Splash", but I still recognize this as the peak of a certain kind of mainstream studio production. Beck's "Odelay" was impressive similarly, and a stronger artistic statement, but that was made in a more punk way, and I'm sort of talking more about more standard professional studio work. That said, the underground is always more interesting than the mainstream!
