COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Heartbreaking submitted by SarahRose on February 21, 2011, 6:41pm Never let me go is mysterious and beautiful. It's a science fiction story in which you don't see anything futuristic or fantastic. The setting is familiar and sweet: an English boarding school and the English countryside, but the story is a jarring contrast: it feels very genuine. Everyone speaks and dresses in a very Old British way, and yet the story has the minimalist feeling of Japanese art. I'm not usually a fan of dystopia fiction, but I was drawn to this film. It's not a story of how the world gets twisted, instead it's the personal story of Kathy, Ruth, and Tommy growing up in the world which they have been born into.

Sad!
Part of the idea behind this movie is how death at any age can be tragic. Whether you live to 15 or 80, is there ever enough time to do all you want to do?
Sad!
like Shawshank submitted by irenzero on June 18, 2011, 9:58pm I have a feeling that over time this film will be remembered and embraced while it's peers (with the exception of Winter's Bone) have faded into the background. It's hart breaking, it's thought provoking and one of the great Existential films in recent memory.
