It's Kind of a Funny Story submitted by katieh on July 16, 2011, 8:30am It's Kind of a Funny Story, though a bit predictable and cliche, was an entertaining watch. Keir Gilchrist and Zach Galigianakis made an interesting and funny duo. I feel like the movie downplayed mental health issues a little too much in order to make room for the teen's romantic life.

Not as funny as it would seem submitted by Steven McClary on July 16, 2011, 3:10pm Dealing with major issues like this is never the best and while there was comedy in it, they didn't sacrifice some of the darkness that comes with the issues in my opinion. I thought it was a good mix and it is uplifting through the movie.

It is also really easy to feel for the main character if you have ever had to deal with feeling overwhelmed and depressed. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who is a teen or older. Younger than about 13 or 14 would not understand what is going on.

Funny submitted by Chris82 on July 30, 2011, 10:43pm It was a little convenient that the only teen guy in the hospital fell for the only teen girl there and that the teens were thrown in with the adult patients. The movie was really good though and had a lot of funny moments.

The story of an overwhelmed teen who meets adults with bigger issues, which helps him put his own problems in perspective. For parents of younger kids... the movie has sexual references and is set in a mental health facility.
