COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Great Solo Sections submitted by Meginator on August 31, 2019, 9:13pm I really enjoyed this album for its smooth overall vibe and its interesting solo sections. Something about the music is inherently relaxing, yet it demands attention, the musicians always pushing forward to explore different ideas. Each member of the ensemble has complete control over their instrument, and the combination of instruments works very well, allowing each performer, in turn, to take the spotlight even if the focus tends to be (quite reasonably so) on Gordon’s saxophone. This is a very accessible record, yet it offers a lot to come back to on repeated listens.
