Read by Patrick Tull.
Captain Jack Aubrey and ship's surgeon Stephen Maturin sail off Cape Horn aboard the Surprise with orders to intercept an American frigate interfering with the British whaling trade. While enjoying a respite in the South Pacific, Stephen ends up overboard, and Jack dives in to the rescue, failing to think what will happen once they are both in the water, with the Surprise disappearing in the mist.
