experimental submitted by tisaallen on July 13, 2022, 12:11am The fourth Pearl Jam album is their first with drummer Jack Irons (original drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers) and two songs, "Who You Are" and "In My Tree" are based around his distinctive polyrhythmic drum music. The album features a variety of styles with some noisy garage rock tunes and some songs that reflect the influence of Neil Young, with whom they recorded Mirror Ball the previous year. None of the songs sound like the ones on Ten. The album wasn't very well received upon release but I think it's a strong album that holds up well.
