Difficult submitted by kbcmmom on July 23, 2020, 12:12pm While I enjoyed Crocodile on the Sandbank, I'm not as impressed with the character development in this book. Amelia moves between being so logical that she appears remote and removed from those around her, then suddenly has an emotional connection in which others bare their souls to her. Emerson comes off as a bully shouting and posturing at times. I'm hoping this is unique to this book and will continue to give the series a try.
