COMMUNITY REVIEWS

A Different Take on Classic Cole Porter submitted by Meginator on June 29, 2019, 9:43am Cole Porter’s Broadway shows are canonical classics, and it’s always fun to see them reinvented by talented musicians; these jazz piano renditions by Earl Hines are no exception. Hines takes the core of the songs and gradually turns them into something different, improvising solos all the while in new and unexpected directions. By turns traditional and experimental, the tracks are always surprising and offer fresh sounds on familiar themes. This is a must-listen.
