Great series! submitted by Xris on August 28, 2018, 8:22pm I particularly like the way the book teaches vocabulary to the kids in a funny, entertaining way. This is the first book where the kids meet Count Olaf for the first time and have to outwit him. Great series for elementary to middle school kids...especially if they're good with bad things happening to the main characters.

Took a minute, but we liked it submitted by bll1010 on July 25, 2023, 10:28pm I listened to this with my kids on a road trip. They weren't sure about it at first since it starts so so sad, but by the end, we all came around. We will continue on to book 2!
