We're just babies man submitted by channbry on June 29, 2019, 11:21pm One of the best hip-hop groups of the 90's! Smooth flow, great lyrics, chill beats, lots of jazz influence, and vibrant personalities/chemistry, the insects were ahead of their time. Real, philosopical, and positive throughout, this is their debut album, followed up by the equally awesome "Blowout Comb," which unfortunately was also their last as a group. Ishmael Butler (Butterfly) carried the cosmic vibes into his current, more experimental project Shabazz Palaces, but his most accessible work was probly here with the Planets. "The vibe here is very pleasant and I truly request your presence," dig in y'all.
