COMMUNITY REVIEWS
A classic submitted by severian on July 14, 2022, 7:32pm This is a classic work of fiction / comic art from postwar Japan. It's beautifully drawn in Tezuka's signature cartoony style, set against very realistic and breathtaking landscapes. The female nudity (very cartoony, I suppose trying to depict the dress style of the period, if one is being charitable?) is the only thing that annoys me, but the way Tezuka boils down complex philosophical questions into comic form is really great. A very moral and humane work, and it's worth reading the whole thing.
