Instrumental Guitar-Driven Rock submitted by Meginator on August 8, 2018, 11:42am Joe Satriani is excellent at meandering instrumental tunes that don't need lyrics to develop and sustain narrative movement. His distinct sound on this album relies heavily on a few favorite guitar effects, and otherwise the music takes many of its cues from prog rock while sounding relatively modern. The songs are cut of similar cloth but have nice variation.
