Fascinating! submitted by carterrn on October 16, 2010, 9:39am This documentary is the most compelling look at the world through the eyes of four very different yet very similar babies. Even though they are reared in different corners of the world, the experiences of the first year of life of these cuties are so similar. From the discovery of hands and feet to the first time they utter the words "Mama" to their first steps, this film is a wonderful adventure. Highly recommended for moms-to-be.

Boring submitted by eringogreen on July 12, 2011, 10:35pm It just wasn't as interesting or cute as I'd hoped it would be. I found myself wanting to stop watching in the middle of it. I'd rather a quick montage of all the cute/fascinating parts in a youtube video or trailer or something. The movie just wasn't worth sitting through, but maybe I have ADD.

Cultural Differences submitted by kbcmmom on July 26, 2011, 7:48pm Fascinating cross-cultural comparison of pregnancy, labor, delivery and infancy.

falls short of expectation submitted by tmilgrom on July 8, 2012, 11:00am This was an interesting cross-cultural comparison, but it did not live up to my expectations. I think it would have benefited from commentary about the different cultures and the development of a baby within their first year of life.

Fascinating submitted by jmock on July 24, 2012, 10:20pm A lot more riveting than I had thought a documentary made completely with clips of babies and no narrator. It was interesting to see all the different cultures in which the babies were brought up.

Fascinating! submitted by alumeng.ajl on August 1, 2012, 4:15pm This is really interesting! The premise is very interesting and the film lives up to my expectations.

Slow but Fascinating submitted by jgerman79 on July 15, 2020, 3:49pm It was a surprise to see how the tribal family lives. The other 3 weren't a surprise at all, but it was still interesting to see some of the distinct differences between cultures. Despite parts that were pretty slow, overall I liked the movie. I do recommend seeing it once, but I probably would not watch it all the way through a second time.

Interesting submitted by cldaniels on July 20, 2021, 4:53pm Interesting reflection on the amazing cultural differences in childbirth and child raising.
