COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Kyrie, eleison! submitted by schoenbaechlere on June 22, 2011, 9:59am Apparently 1986 wasn't a very strong year. Luckily Mr. Mister was able to save it from being a total bust.
Possibly Not Pop's Best Year submitted by Meginator on July 8, 2011, 2:52pm Yikes...while the songs on this album definitely enjoyed their success back in 1986, I doubt many will crack any top lists for the century, or even the decade. Alongside the classic "Walk Like an Egyptian" we have heavy hitters from...er...Kenny Loggins? "Sara," Starship's offering, only serves to illuminate the tragic decline of Jefferson Airplane, and even "Take Me Home Tonight" is far better in the hands of sweaty clubgoers and questionably talented cover bands. I love some retrospective pop, and there are some good ideas and catchy tunes here, but I'm not thinking 1986 is a particularly strong year to remember, at least not represented by these songs. The album could be worth a nostalgic listen, though.
Worth Listening To submitted by Chris82 on July 31, 2011, 1:23pm This album contains of all the best and most memorable music from 1986. Worth listening to for anyone that grew up in the 80s but it only contains a couple really memorable songs.
Billboard top Hits, 1986 submitted by Varshini on July 7, 2019, 11:44pm I don't like 80's music, so it's no surprise that I didn't enjoy this CD too much.
