COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Gripping submitted by jmercier5 on August 8, 2015, 11:27am The film is nearly two hours long but held my interest from beginning to end. It is (as far as I know) quite accurate historically and gives us insight into how Luther formed his ideas, as well as how he responded to a number of challenges after he dared to express his new views publicly. Recommended for anyone interested in the history of the Reformation era.

jmercier, do you SERIOUSLY believe that people can learn history from mickey-mouse movies like this? submitted by Tassos on December 9, 2019, 8:59am Did the idiots that cast the actors even bothered to look at Luther's PORTRAITS and if so, did they make a deliberate attempt to choose an actor that looked NOTHING like him?

And then why did they cast a 100% German actor to play the Italian Pope, who looked nothing like the historical person?

The list of inaccuracies in this silly movie is too long to enumerate. Read history from a SERIOUS SOurce and leave these dumbed-down flicks to those who, like Barnum said, are born "one every minute".
