Uggg submitted by Sonia on June 26, 2011, 8:42pm This movie is soooo slow and it just drags on and on and on.

You go, Tom! submitted by cathiek on July 26, 2011, 1:41pm Like the idea behind the story. Tom Hanks is his usual clever, loveable self so if you're a Tom Hanks fan, be sure to watch this one. Really enjoyed it.

the terminal submitted by a2sue on August 30, 2013, 12:50am the terminal was ok, but not one of my favorite hanks films

cute submitted by drsmcl on July 14, 2015, 1:19pm Really sweet story but there are obvious plot holes. Stanley Tucci's character wasn't very believable, and Hanks learns English astoundingly fast!

OK submitted by smgop on July 10, 2016, 3:38pm Highly enjoyable, some obvious plot difficulties, but overall a very sweet and touching film.

Good submitted by kelleyc on August 4, 2016, 8:59pm I liked The Terminal a lot. Tom Hanks can't be beat.

Neat Story, Not Much Action submitted by Maria Maguire on July 6, 2018, 2:03pm When Viktor gets stuck living in an airport terminal due to circumstances outside his control, he has to get creative to survive. It's a fun story with an unlikely friendships between Viktor and several airport workers, and I loved seeing the antics he employs to find food and attempt to legally leave. Although there isn't a ton of action, it's a good story I enjoy watching.

interesting submitted by yufamily on August 24, 2019, 2:17pm Tom is a versatile actor

The Terminal submitted by leighsprauer on August 15, 2022, 1:15pm Tom Hanks plays Viktor, a man who becomes stateless while flying to New York because of a coup in his fictional home country. Because his visa is null, he can neither return home nor enter New York, so he spends several weeks living in the airport, making friends, getting a job, and outwitting the airport authorities. It is based on the true story of Mehran Nasseri.
This movie was okay. Listening to Tom Hanks with a fake quasi-Eastern European accent became tiring. At one point he pursues a flight attendant, but there was nothing about her or their relationship that was particularly engaging. His airport friends were somewhat interesting, and had a little bit of backstory that made me care, but not enough to really like the film.
One highlight was the movie's theme of perseverance in patience. As in Cast Away, Hanks' character must simply survive until his circumstances change, and in both his patience is rewarded. The focus on immigrants, and compassion for them, was another main theme that was handled moderately well. But again, even these two aspects weren't enough for me to really enjoy or recommend it.
