COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Melodic, Humorous Early English Punk submitted by Meginator on July 28, 2019, 1:17pm For an early English punk band, the Toy Dolls really bring something different to the table, adopting the typical punk spirit but applying it humorously to daily social scenarios instead of broad political conditions. The snark is fully there, but it is deployed differently. Musically, the band is more melodic and less directly confrontational than a lot of their peers, yet they still clearly fit into the movement’s general aesthetic. If nothing else, this album proves that even the relatively well-defined punk style of this era leaves plenty of room for innovation.
