Not Your Average Local Band submitted by Caser on December 9, 2010, 4:18pm This is in my Top 10 Best Albums of 2010, and it's hard to believe this is their debut. Fans of Yeasayer, Fleet Foxes, and Talking Heads will enjoy Local Natives' textural sound and indie pop flavor. I like that the band is easy to recognize as having their own identifiable sound without exploiting one song structure or vocal melody (cough, Kings of Leon, cough). Can't wait to see what they come out with for the follow up.
