awesome submitted by ftan on July 16, 2012, 4:11pm i watched this movie several times, once at school. it was a very good film with great acting and cool rugby clips. my sole complaint was that the accents were hard to understand which can be easily fixed with subtitles. Enjoy!

Inspiring True Story submitted by Meginator on July 7, 2017, 12:30pm You can tell when watching this movie that the filmmakers really wanted to do justice to the story and wanted to portray it as respectfully as possible. Sometimes this results in a sense that they are glossing over some of the truth, but that probably can't be helped when making this kind of film. The performances by Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman are excellent as expected, and the supporting cast also does well. The movie is less didactic than I expected and the story moves along at a good pace, although many of the beats will be familiar to anyone who's seen an underdog sports story before. "Invictus" is definitely worth watching if you're interested in South Africa and/or rugby, and also if you enjoy sports movies in general.

Learning about history submitted by Xris on June 23, 2018, 12:17am Another great movie to help learn the history of our world and what happened when apartheid was gone in South Africa. Morgan Freeman is excellent as Mandela! Loved it!
